Presentation Mode

Helpful features such as a table of contents, slide-show mode, and links to previous/next page can be added to any page in the Web System.

Pages in the web system can be turned into very simple slide-show presentations.  If you have a complicated or lengthy presentation that you wish to display on your site, we suggest that you upload it as a PowerPoint presentation.

Enable Presentation Mode

  1. Navigate to the page you wish to display in presentation mode and click on the edit tab.
  2. Click on the Settings sub-option.

  3. Add a check next to Presentation Mode.
  4. Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.
  5. A “Also available in presentation mode...” link will appear at top of the page

How to Create Slides

All the content for a presentation lives on a single page. You do not need to create a page for each slide. A slide is created when you use the Heading 2 (H2) format on the page - it effectively indicates where you want to start a new slide.

You can have as many slides as you want in your presentation. Just add more Heading 2 tags to your page. The content between the H2 tag and the next H2 tag becomes the content of your slide.

The first slide will display the Title of the Page along with the Creator and Contributors of the page.  To define or change the Creator or Contributors, select the Ownership sub-option when editing the page.

How to Format Slides

It is very important to note that the Normal Paragraph information will not appear as content on a slide. Slides are meant to display summary information, not chunks of paragraph text. As such, you must style all content with a style other than the Paragraph style. Examples of those styles include:

  • Heading 2 (h2)
  • Heading 3 (h3)
  • Bulleted list
  • Numbered list
