If you'd like videos to play directly on your pages, there are a number of options. You can utilize the code provided by a service like YouTube, or you can upload a Flash video (.flv), Quicktime movie (.mov), or .mp4 video to your site and play them with a Flash-based video player that we've hosted for your convenience.
MP3, AAC, and M4A audio files can be played directly on a page with the Flash-based JWPlayer, which is hosted on the School of Medicine web server for SOM site use. Currently, this is a two-step process: 1) upload and publish your audio files, and 2) embed our custom code that places the Flash-based player on your page. Since this method uses Flash, it's not accessible to users using iPads, iPhones, etc. For maximum accessibility, it's recommended that you also provide a direct download link to the file.
