Controlling When and How Items Are Displayed
There are several factors that affect when and how a content item is displayed.
- An item’s publishing state determines whether or not it is viewable to the public.
- Content items can be configured so that they are excluded from navigation. This means that the items will not appear in the navigation, even if they are in the published state.
- When scheduling content, effective dates and expirations dates can be assigned to content items to specify a specific period of time during which an item will be available.
- The default content view of a folder controls what content appears in the main content area when a folder is selected.
- There are multiple ways to display the content within a folder. Other content display options offer flexibility in how site visitors see your content.
