Getting Started with FCK

You can change certain editor preferences.

Change Page Editor Preferences to FCK

When your site is initially created, you may need to do this to see the FCK editor.

To select the FCK Editor:

Login to the CMS using your login and password.
To change your editor preference, click on preferences in the top right corner.
Click on “Personal Preferences”
Scroll down to “Content editor” on the page ; if the dropdown menu indicates “Kupu”, select “FCKEditor” from the menu.
Click “save” button at bottom of page
If you wish to configure FCKEditor further, go back to your preferences page:

Choose Path for Opening Folder

The most useful part of setting these preferences is determining where the editor will open to when selecting pages or files to link to. This will save time when trying to navigate to your files.

To set path in preferences:

Next to “Choose a path for browser opening folder” enter:
/site/myfoldername
Click “save.”

For example, if your folder is located at "http://editors.unchealthcare.org/site/gme/", you would enter: "/site/gme". If your content is located at "http://editors.unchealthcare.org/site/w3/payroll/", you would enter "/site/w3/payroll".
