Learning Activities: Students spend each day in the department with the attending and resident staffs in various activities, including lectures, image interpretation, fluoroscopic procedures, interventional studies, imaging scans, conferences and self-guided teaching exercises. Each will be assigned a PACS password and become familiar with using the radiology PACS system and PACSWEB for viewing images. The student will prepare a digital PowerPoint teaching file using an interesting patient case downloaded from the PACS system.
Evaluation: Students are evaluated on participation in class, RAD Rounds and Rounds Round up, on the digital teaching file and on a quiz administered the final day of the elective.
Special Notes: The first and final days of the elective are mandatory.
