There are many ways to become involved in research. This page will introduce you to a number of informal opportunities available at UNC as well as connections to opportunities that are available outside the university.

Researchers looking for students: The researchers listed here have contacted the Office of Medical Student Research hoping to involve medical students in their research team.

Outside funding and training opportunities: Review a listing of opportunities that have been sent in to the Office of Medical Student Research from other universities, funding agencies and research institutes.

Office of Undergraduate Research: This office has a database listing a different funding sources and research opportunities. Although the purpose is to help undergraduate students, some of the opportunities listed also allow for medical students.

UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine Office of International Affairs: The Office of International Affairs provides assistance to medical faculty and students planning and organizing international research, study, and service projects.
