Symptoms
  • Approximately 3 bowel movements per day for the last six months
  • Loose, mushy or watery bowel movements for the past six months
  • Urgent need to have a bowel movement that has made you rush to the bathroom.
  • Bloating

Purpose The purpose of this research study is to determine the efficacy of an investigational medication on constipation predominant IBS.
Requirements
  • Women must be at least 18 years old
  • Have a history of diarrhea predominant IBS (diagnosed by a physician) for at least six months
  • 7 visits to UNC over approximately 6 months
  • Must be a resident of North Carolina
Compensation $125 to $250 depending on the study
