To achieve its mission, the Center is committed to a full range of activities:
- Patient Care -- Offer state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment for a full range of functional GI and motility disorders.
- Research -- Conduct studies on the physiological and psychsocial mechanisms underlying functional GI and motility disorders, their impact on quality of life and health outcomes, and their treatment.
- Training of Healthcare Professionals -- Provide multidisciplinary training and education in clinical and research skills, with an emphasis on patient-centered care and advanced research methods.
- Patient Education -- Provide helpful and up-to-date information, through seminars and workshops as well as printed materials, videos and the Internet.
