APPOINTMENTS to UNC ORTHOPAEDICS

 Ambulatory Care Center (all physicians)

Appointments to see any of our physicians in our facilities at the Ambulatory Care Center can be made in two ways:

• By e-mail. Send a brief message stating the patient's name, telephone number, and the best time to call between 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday-Friday. An appointment scheduler will contact you within two business days. **In compliance with HIPAA regulations, we ask that you DO NOT send detailed personal information or medical history, as these messages will not be encrypted, and are subject to interception via the Internet.**
• By telephone at 919.962.6637. Our office hours are 7:30am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.

Please note that if you request to see a particular doctor, we will make every effort to accommodate you, but certain orthopaedic problems and other circumstances may require you to see someone else who specializes in this area. Also, some of the specialty clinics are structured so that patients must be referred to them by another physician.

You will need to pre-register at 800.634.8020 before arriving for your appointment if:

* you are a new patient to UNC Hospitals
* you haven't been seen at UNC Hospitals in at least 6 months
* there has been a change in your address or insurance information

Sports Medicine Clinic at the Student Health Service (Drs. Creighton and Taft):

To make an appointment for the Sports Medicine Clinic in the Student Health Service, please call 919.966.3655 between 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. You do not have to be a University of North Carolina student to be seen in this clinic, nor is it limited solely to sports-related injuries.
