Training includes diagnosis and treatment of patients of all ages suffering from painful or functionally limiting conditions, the management of comorbidities and coimpairments, diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, electrodiagnostic medicine, and especially the prevention and management of complications of disability from secondary conditions.

Our physiatrists diagnose and treat neurologic, musculoskeletal, and other organ system impairments, and manage treatment of patients with long-term disabling conditions.  The physiatrists lead multidisciplinary teams that work with the patient and family to achieve maximal development or restoration of physical, psychological, social, occupational and vocational functions in persons with disabilities.

Our residency program offers a wide range of clinical, educational, and research opportunities, including balanced clinical experiences, organized educational programs, and daily interactions with experienced faculty, including:

  • Spine management: Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Rheumatology
  • Acute and Chronic pain management: Anesthesiology and Neurology
  • Arthritis, Musculoskeletal medicine and Osteoporosis: Orthopedics and Rheumatology
  • Spinal Cord Injury: Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Urology
