The Division of Pulmonary Medicine at UNC
cares for patients with a wide range of pulmonary
diseases in the general pulmonary and allergy clinics
held at the Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC) building.
Multidisciplinary clinics specializing in the care
of lung cancer(MTOP), sleep

fibrosis, and lung
transplant patients combine the expertise of several
medical disciplines (e.g. thoracic surgery, medical
and radiation oncology, physical therapy, social work,
neurology, nutrition, psychology) to provide state-of-the-art,
integrated care for these particular disease areas.
In addition, special expertise in the care of patients
with a1-antitrypsin deficiency,
pulmonary
hypertension, sarcoidosis,
and primary
ciliary dyskinesia exists within the division.
