Timeline for Students Interested in Emergency Medicine

As Emergency Medicine (EM) is a competitive specialty, and you do not have opportunities to do rotations through the Emergency Department until 4th year, the residency leadership of EM has put together this timeline of things to consider doing if you are considering a career in EM.  No one has ever done all these things, and it is certainly not expected that you do even most of them.  However, they can all be helpful in various ways so that you can be prepared as possible to match in the residency program of your choosing.
