How do you manage to stay balanced and healthy in spite of the busy med school schedule?

I play lots of banjo, eat several servings of vegetables, and make sure to make time for friends.  I try to avoid Kryptonite and play outside every day.

What’s the most important piece of advice you would give to an incoming MS1?

Never stop doing the things that make you smile.  The P’s will happen regardless…

What is your favorite artery, organ, or nerve; and why?

I enjoy the ulnar nerve because it’s connected to the humerus, which is the most ironically-named bone in the body.

Tell us one of your favorite memories from your first year of med school in the form of a haiku!

Jeopardy is fun.
It gets even more fun when
MacNider’s on fire!
