Operation Smile
Operation Smile is a private, not-for-profit volunteer medical services organization providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to indigent children and young adults in developing countries and the United States. Operation Smile provides education and training around the world to physicians and other health care professionals to achieve long-term self-sufficiency.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF UNC OPSMILE

1. EDUCATION
-educate mission site children on dental hygeine, nutrition, oral rehydration therapy, and burn care/preventionh
-educate children and parents in our own community
2. AWARENESS
-enlighten schools, businesses, and the community about Operation Smile and its role via public speaking and/or sponsoring community involvement.
-express the need for their cooperation and volunteerism in Operation Smile activities and community projects.
3. SERVICE
-generate revenue for medical missions
-develop and execute outreach projects in Operation Smile Mission
-donate supplies for medical missions.
