Inter-Faith Council Community House:
Preventive Health through Education
PACT volunteers teach preventive health measures on topics such as HIV/AIDS and heart disease at the IFC community house medical clinic in Chapel Hill. The shelter provides temporary housing, job counseling, a weekly clinic, and three meals a day to anyone in need. Donations from community groups and local businesses provide the food and personnel to run the shelter. The weekly medical clinic begins at 7:30 pm on Thursdays with volunteers arriving early at 7:15. Our current contact for the clinic is Sandra Clark M.D. (942-8741 or DWSCCLARK@aol.com ) who coordinates the clinic and its volunteers. The shelter is located on 100 W. Rosemary St. at the corner of S. Columbia/Airport Rd. and Rosemary St. [parking available in the rear].
