OIS 32-bit Helper Application
How to I install and configure the OIS 32-bit Helper Application.
Begin by downloading the Helper Application to your desktop. Once the download is complete, locate and click on desktop icon "oisl32in.exe." Follow the instructions when prompted (the Helper Application will automatically configure).
Please note: You must use Netscape or Mozilla/Firefox to launch applications on the Courseware page. Internet Explorer is not compatible.
- Download Firefox, if it's not installed on your computer.
- Go to the courseware applications page.
- Select any PC application by clicking on the appropriate operating system icon.
- At the "Downloading webmnu.ois" dialog box, choose "Open using an application."
- Uncheck the "Always ask before opening this type of file" box.
- Click on the "Advanced" button.
- Ensure the following information is filled in:
" File Extension:" = OIS
" Mime type:" = application/x-oisrsrc
" Application to use:" = C:\OIS\OISL_32.EXE - Click Ok or Apply to exit.
