The Bowles Lectureship Award is given annually by the Bowles Center for Alcohol Studies to a distinguished research who has made significant contributions to our understanding of the causes, prevention and/or treatment of alcoholism and alcohol abuse. This year's recipient is Dr. Robert Messing, Senior Associate Director of the Ernest Gallo Clinic and Research Center Professor of Neurology at the University of California at San Francisco.
Dr. Messing will be presenting, "PKC Regulation of Cys-Loop Receptors in Models of Alcohol and Nicotine Addiction."
