I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University under the direction of Dr. Kathryn Roeder. I am currently a faculty member of the Department of Statistics and Bioinformatics Research Center at North Carolina State University. My research interests combine the fields of statistics and genetics and I focus on developing statistical methods that can facilitate genetic epidemiologic research on human complex diseases. Some of my current research projects include statistical modeling of multimarker/haplotype association for genome-wide and candidate-gene studies, gene-based and pathway-based analysis for pharmacogenetics, SNP genotyping error and quality control, and sequence-based association studies.
