This webinar will provide an overview of the regulatory requirements (and significant regulatory flexibility) associated with assembling an IRB committee, and will provide some alternatives to the standard (and sometimes cumbersome) approach of assembling a large board with a broad set of expertise. Representatives from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine will also share their insights and experiences in developing a small 5-member IRB comprised of IRB staff members to supplement the reviews of their existing boards.
