NanoString's nCounter Analysis System is a fully automated technology for the next generation of digital gene expression analysis. This unique technology utilizes fluorescent barcodes hybridized to individual mRNA molecules to directly count the relative abundance of each transcript of interest in a sample. The assay is performed directly on crude lysates or total RNA (no RT, no IVT, no PCR), enabling multiplexed profiling of 20 to 800 genes with remarkable speed, sensitivity, and precision.
