Relative Quantitation of Complex Protein Mixtures and Characterization of Post-translation Modifications Using Modern Proteomic Approaches

UNC Proteomics Core Facility provides a variety of services--Two of the most popular are relative quantitation of Complex Protein Mixtures and Characterization of Post-translation Modifications. Join David Smalley for a presentation providing an in-depth analysis of these two services including what is required from the investigator, what tasks are performed in the facility, and what type of data will be generated. In addition, the relative strength and weaknesses of various approaches will be examined. The goal of the presentation is to provide researches with sufficient information to design proteomic experiments and gain an understanding of how these services can assist them with their research. Real life examples will be provided.
