Responsible Conduct of Research Course
The NC TraCS Institute will be sponsoring a one-week course in the Responsible Conduct of Research Course organized and run by David Weber, MD, MPH, Director of the NC TraCS Institute Regulatory Core. The course covers all the NIH-required topics for the first phase of responsible conduct of research training. The course emphasizes the bounds of acceptable conduct including ethical use of animals in research, ethical treatment of human subjects, conflicts of interest, etc.

The course will be held from 8 am – 12 pm from Monday July 16 through Friday July 20 in room 2204 of the Medical Biomolecular Research Building. Participants must attend all sessions in order to receive certification that they have completed the training.
This year there is no charge for the course. Participants may choose to purchase the book Responsible Conduct of Research by Adil E. Shamoo and David B. Resnik (second edition) to be used as a reference during the course and in the future.
