Coach Williams Raises $1 Million For Cancer Research
Friday, October 16, 2009 — In just five years, Coach Roy Williams has raised more than $1 million for cancer research, treatment and prevention programs in our community. These funds have been raised through Coach Williams’ highly successful Fast Break Against Cancer event, which was launched in 2004. Coach Williams also directed half of the proceeds from the sold-out UNC Alumni Basketball game to support cancer research at UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
