New Genetic Medicine Research Building to be dedicated May 6

Tuesday, May 5, 2009 — Construction of the new building was completed in October 2008. The new Genetic Medicine Research Building will be dedicated by UNC School of Medicine Dean Bill Roper on May 6 from 3 pm. to 5 p.m. in the building's atrium lobby at 120 Mason Farm Road on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. Construction of the new building was completed in October 2008. It is a state-of-the-art research facility designed to promote interdisciplinary research. It houses medical research space for pharmacology, genetics, pharmacy, biochemistry and biophysics, including lab support, offices and office support. The facility also houses animal husbandry and research facililties specifically designed for small rodents to be used by the entire UNC School of Medicine. |
