Autistic Adults and Other Stakeholders Engage Together \u2013 Suicide Prevention (AASET-SP)<\/h1>\n

The Safety Planning Intervention (SPI) has been shown to be effective in non-autistic groups. However, limited research has been done on the effectiveness of this intervention for autistic individuals specifically. In collaboration with autistic adolescents and adults, caregivers, and clinicians, the study researchers have adapted the SPI and tailored it to the unique needs of autistic individuals.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this study is to compare the effectiveness, feasibility, and acceptability of two suicide prevention strategies tailored for autistic individuals: the Safety Planning Intervention tailored for Autistic individuals (SPI-A) and SPI-A plus structured follow-up contacts (SPI-A+).<\/p>\n
