A Fellowship opportunity in Interprofessional Education at UNC.
Fellowship: Each year three IPE fellows are selected through a competitive process; one physician, one nurse and one dentist. The Fellowship team learns about, with and from each other as they immerse themselves in a practice based geriatrics project. The Fellowship creates a unique opportunity to build team care across the continuum of services and truly deliver person centered, high quality geriatrics in a real world setting. This year the three IPE fellows are working with the Program for All Inclusive Care of the Elderly (PACE) at the Piedmont Health Services, Inc., in Pittsboro, NC. The team developed a protocol for addressing unexplained weight loss among PACE patients and are currently integrating that advanced care into the practice. Fellowship opportunities begin in July and run for one or two years. A stipend for support is available. For more information on the fellowship email firstname.lastname@example.org
