SUMMARY:IP Geriatrics Experience: a two-day event
DESCRIPTION:To raise awareness of the need for interprofessional education (IPE) and its benefits for providers and patients\, the Division of Geriatric Medicine and UNC’s Office for Interprofessional Education and Practice will jointly sponsor two days of collaborative IPE immersion with a geriatrics focus. \nStudents should email Madeline Neal at mnneal@email.unc.edu or call 919-962-3535 by 1/15 to register.  \nThe first session will be on Thursday January 24 from 2-5 pm at the School of Social Work Auditorium\, Tate / Turner / Kuralt Building\, with the second session the following week on Thursday January 31 (2-5 School of Social Work Auditorium). \nStudents and faculty from 10 disciplines will share best practices of geriatric care and explore complex case studies through the lens of an IPE team approach. \n\n
