Composed of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/geriatrics\/\">Division of Geriatric Medicine<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/aging\/\">Center for Aging and Health<\/a>, UNC Geriatrics was fully represented at this year\u2019s meeting. Also, Tiffany Driesse, a research assistant from Dr. Batsis\u2019 team, received a Presidential Poster Award from the AGS Scientific Program Committee. Driesse\u2019s poster <em>Older Adults experience and response to Voice Assistant Systems<\/em> was selected as best in the category of Geriatric Syndromes. Dr. Batsis was the other UNC author on this aging research.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, MSTAR student Abdel Rahem Yusuf won the Presidential Poster Session Award for best abstract in the category of Neurologic &amp; Behavioral Science for his poster <em>Longitudinal Analysis of Cognitive Function in Patients with Multiple Myeloma<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h3>UNC Geriatrics Sessions Presenters<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8253\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignleft\" style=\"width: 239px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8253 \" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/aging\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/753\/2022\/05\/Niznik-e1653484801665-236x300.jpg\" alt=\"Dr. Josh Niznik and Dr. John Batsis\" width=\"229\" height=\"291\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/aging\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/753\/2022\/05\/Niznik-e1653484801665-236x300.jpg 236w, https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/aging\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/753\/2022\/05\/Niznik-e1653484801665.jpg 363w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 229px) 100vw, 229px\" \/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Dr. Josh Niznik and Dr. John Batsis<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dr. Batsis moderated a session called <em>Beyond Behavioral Weight Loss Interventions,<\/em> which featured a presentation by Dr. Joshua Niznik focused on pharmacotherapy interventions for weight loss.
