The UNC PT Advisory Board, which provides guidance to the Division of Physical Therapy, has named Judy White ’68 as its board chair. White will assume duties from Sheryl Duke ’99, who has served as chair since 2008. White previously served as chair from 2005 until 2007.
The division noted Duke’s dedication to the program and to the profession of physical therapy, including her commitment of time and effort to the success of the board. In that time, student scholarships have grown to more than $200,000, and the Margaret L. Moore Professorship fund was initiated.
White retired from the division in 2004; the Judy A. White Professional Development Fund honors her service and dedication to the profession. White and Duke have brought a deep commitment and passion to support the program’s mission and values; both Duke and White are generous supporters of the division.
