The Molecular Diagnostic Science track (MDS graduate program) is made possible in part by support from our generous corporate partners. The MDS Corporate Partners program recognizes the close link between molecular diagnostic testing in the clinical laboratory and the products, services, and technology offered by the private sector. The program is important to leaders in the molecular diagnostics industry because they understand the need for qualified laboratory professionals who can perform molecular tests and bring new assays into a laboratory. The support and collaboration of members of the molecular diagnostic industry provides resources needed to promote the program to potential students, to provide scholarships and awards to students, to fund MDS course instruction, and to fund faculty development. In addition, the expertise of leaders in the molecular industry adds to the MDS students’ understanding of the development and marketing of molecular tests, reagents and instrumentation. With their support of the MDS graduate program, Corporate Partners make a major contribution to quality health care by increasing the number of laboratory professionals qualified to perform, develop, and validate molecular-based tests.
