Laboratory Diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis to include the following grant supported projects: Variation in sweat chloride test analysis (VISTA); Evaluation of a novel POCT device for sweat testing; Quality improvement in sweat testing following a positive newborn screen for CF.
Dr. LeGrys’ research and professional service is focused on standardizing sweat testing for the diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) She has published numerous journal articles on the topic and consults with laboratories worldwide. She serves as the chairperson of the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) sweat testing document and she developed sweat analysis proficiency testing and accreditation guidelines with the College of American Pathologists (CAP). Dr. LeGrys serves as a consultant to the CF Foundation on sweat testing issues.
