The Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina (LPCANC) promotes the development of LCMHCs through professional excellence and advocacy. LPCANC provides a voice for public policy, directs the activities of our professional lobbyist, and responds to the continuing education needs of LCMHCs in North Carolina.

North Carolina Rehabilitation Association


The North Carolina Rehabilitation Association was founded in 1956, and is an affiliate of the National Rehabilitation Association. NCRA is a nonprofit 501(c) (4) organization, with 501(c) (3) designation for their T.L. McClellan Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the association is to advance rehabilitation for all individuals with disabilities.

The North Carolina Counseling Association represents diverse interests of its membership through an executive council, geographically located members, specialty organizations, and committees.

ARCA is an organization of rehabilitation counseling practitioners, educators, and students who are concerned with improving the lives of people with disabilities. Rehabilitation counselors have specialized training and expertise in providing counseling and other services to persons with disability.

National Council on Rehabilitation Education


The National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE) is a professional organization of educators dedicated to quality services for persons with disabilities through education and research. NCRE advocates up-to-date education and training and the maintenance of professional standards in the field of rehabilitation.

American Mental Health Counselors Association


The American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is the leading national organization for licensed clinical mental health counselors. AMHCA strives to be the go-to organization for LCMHCs for education, advocacy, leadership and collaboration. Our organization provides the backbone of skills and resources needed for clinical mental health counselors to thrive in today’s world.

National Rehabilitation Association


NRA members work to eliminate barriers and increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They provide members with opportunities for advocacy and increased awareness of issues through professional development and access to current research topics. Together, we work toward a society where there are no barriers, environmental or attitudinal, to full employment and participation in life.
