I wanted to bring some new resources to your attention. During this chaotic time, it is critical we focus on the most effective interventions and approaches when working with our students.

There is a national center- CEEDAR (which stands for Collaboration for Effective Educator Development, Accountability, and Reform) that is charged with a mission to support students with disabilities in achieving college- and career-ready standards by building the capacity of state personnel preparation systems to prepare teachers and leaders to implement evidence-based practices within multi-tiered systems of support.

  • CEEDAR in partnership with the Council on Exceptional Children have identified high leverage practices (evidence-based, highly effective) when working with students with disabilities
  • NC DPI EC Division has created a great collection of resources on these High Leverage Practices (HLPs) for Instructing Students with Disabilities:
One of these practices is collaboration. We definitely know how critical collaborative work is to ensure our students’ progress. Please review this resource and employ it to best invest our time with students.
