Supporting UNC PT

The Division of Physical Therapy depends on private financial support to maintain and enhance its record of excellence and provide students with the best possible educational experiences. From purchasing state-of-the-art equipment, to providing scholarships for students, to funding for faculty research, private gifts are crucial to the program’s continued success. Your generosity will enable the Division of Physical Therapy to fulfill its mission of preparing outstanding physical therapists who have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to meet the current and future demands of health care.

“I chose to become a physical therapist because I want to serve people. I love the work that I am doing, and I am excited to soon enter the profession of physical therapy. The Dana Keef Calabrese Scholarship affords me the time to become more involved in community outreach projects. I have enjoyed being a part of activities such as physical screens for local Special Olympic athletes, raising money and awareness for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, providing free physical therapy services at the Student Health Action Coalition (SHAC), and meeting the needs of home-bound individuals through SHAC-Beyond Clinic Walls. Such activities are important in professional and personal development, and I am excited to seek out further opportunities.”
