Certificate (Radiography)

Mission

The UNC Certificate Program in Radiography prepares students to practice competently and effectively as radiologic technologists (radiographers) in medical center settings and community hospitals.

Accreditation

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctorate degrees. Degree-granting institutions also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. This accreditation allows the students to meet the eligibility requirement for education for the national American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination.

Financial Information

• fees – approximately $1000/semester (to be determined each August)
• books and educational supplies – approximately $1500 for entire program (most books are purchased in the first semester)

• uniforms – $75/set + shoes + lab coat
