Students participate in one or more research project each of their first two years. The nature and scope of the projects vary, but the common objectives are to achieve high quality research mentoring and produce publishable work. Research projects may be faculty-initiated with the student taking a substantive role in all or most aspects of the project. Alternatively, the projects may be designed and conducted by the student under the mentorship of a faculty member. For information about faculty research interests, see Faculty and Staff.
