Waletzky Award from\u00a0The Society for Neuroscience (SfN)<\/strong>\u00a0at Neuroscience 2019.<\/p>\n<p>This award is given to a young scientist whose independent research has led to significant conceptual and empirical contributions to the understanding of drug addiction.<\/p>\n<p>Recipients receive $25,000 and give an award presentation at the NIDA -NIAAA Mini Convention before the SfN meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Society recognizes the importance of Dr. Kash\u2019s creative research on the neural basis of addiction-related behaviors and its illumination of potential paths forward for understanding and treating the pathological behaviors associated with addiction,\u201d said SfN President Diane Lipscombe.
