White Coat 2017

Dear Alumnus,

An acceptance letter from the UNC School of Medicine marks the beginning of a journey for aspiring physicians, one met with anticipation, gratification, and determination – a true rite of passage. For past white coat recipients, Alex, Danielle, and Daryl, the impact was life-changing:

“Receiving my white coat from the UNC School of Medicine was the step that really solidified… I was going to be a doctor.” – Alex Fletcher, Class of 2019

“In the days that followed, I realized that my white coat meant something to the people around me – to my family, to the faculty who are so graciously dedicated, and to the patients who expect me to make things better.” – Danielle Jameison, Class of 2019

“The words of wisdom from my mentor were personal and powerful. I shed a tear or two when I first read his message, and I have read it every morning since.” – Daryl Cunningham, Class of 2018

On September 10, 2016, the Class of 2020 will receive their first white coats embroidered with “UNC School of Medicine,” following a long tradition of physicians leading, teaching, and caring for the health of our population.

Alumni can help build loyalty by sponsoring a student’s white coat and sharing words of wisdom with the next generation of UNC trained physicians.

Your gift today will help build a legacy of loyalty and inspire the UNC doctors of tomorrow.

Honor your medical education and invest in the Class of 2020 by sharing your words of wisdom with your $100 white coat sponsorship by August 31.

Thank you for your loyalty!

Gratefully,

UNC School of Medicine Class of 2019
