UNC medical students have been involved in medical service across the globe – they have lived in remote villages, educated our nation’s youth on health issues, and witnessed, experienced and lived the global health care crisis. They have overcome personal challenges in their lives, started service projects as teenagers, and put in hours of thankless work to be in Chapel Hill. They have made the commitment to enter the medical field – and they are fulfilling that commitment, with help from medical alumni just like you, at the University of North Carolina.
The Medical Alumni Association – through gifts to the Loyalty Fund – supports over 55 student scholarships each year. In 2010-11, 58 students received Loyalty Fund scholarships thanks to alumni investments in the UNC School of Medicine.
You can make a difference and contribute to the success of the next generation of UNC-trained physicians by giving at the Loyalty Fund Annual Scholarship ($10,000+ annually) level or by endowing a scholarship for a medical student at UNC. Commitments to endow a Loyalty Fund scholarship begin at $200,000 and may be payable over a period of years.
