Research Interests

Research interests are in the area of hematology and cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease studies include understanding the role of hyperlipidemia and insulin resistance on atherosclerosis, wound healing and thrombosis. Hematology studies include testing various gene therapies and other strategies to correct the inherited bleeding disorders hemophilia A and B. Comparative pathology and the use of animal models in research are also the focus of some research efforts.
