What was your greatest recent accomplishment?

I was accepted into the the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Programs to Increase Diversity Among Individuals Engaged in Health-Related Research (PRIDE). In addition, I received two grants – a small pilot grant from the NHLBI and a industry sponsored grant from the pharmaceutical company, Global Blood Therapeutics.

What grants have you received?

Small pilot grant from the NHLBI (~14,000)
Industry grant from Global Blood Therapeutics (94,000)

Expert skills:

I am an early stage investigator in sickle cell disease and acute sickle cell pain.
