DESCRIPTION:Transgender Awareness Week takes place each year between Nov. 13–19\, when transgender people and their allies share stories and advance advocacy around the issues of prejudice\, discrimination and violence that affect the transgender community.  This week of celebration leads up to Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on Nov. 20\, a world-wide observance commemorating the transgender people lost to violence.
