SUMMARY:2023 Carolina Refresher Course
DESCRIPTION:The Carolina Refresher Course: A unique and enjoyable learning experience in a friendly and relaxed environment utilizing 30-minute lecture sessions\, speaker question and answer panels\, problem-based learning discussions\, and hands-on workshops in point-of-care ultrasound\, regional anesthesia\, and surgical airway skills. We offer you a faculty of polished guest speakers along with our outstanding UNC faculty in medicine and anesthesiology\, who consistently receive rave reviews from our course attendees. You will return to your practice feeling invigorated with updated clinically relevant information and techniques that will enhance your patient safety knowledge\, technical skills and practice. \nThe course is designed to provide medical education sessions in the morning with the afternoons free to relax and enjoy the amenities of this lush 10\,000 acre privately owned barrier island\, with approximately half of this acreage preserved in its natural state. History buffs will enjoy visiting the nearby city of Charleston\, South Carolina\, the best-preserved colonial city in America and a haven for foodies\, featuring outstanding restaurants offering creative southern cuisine. Kiawah Island boast five different golf courses\, including its renowned links Ocean Golf Course\, and is one of only four locations in the US to host every major American PGA event\, including the 2012 and 2021 PGA Championship\, along with the Ryder Cup. Kiawah Island Resort is also recognized as the #1 Tennis Resort in the world in 2019\, with two tennis complexes featuring clay and hard courts.
