On May 29th, Professor of Anesthesiology Kimberley Nichols, MD, MBA, announced she will be stepping down as Senior Associate Dean for Medical Student Education in the UNC School of Medicine (SOM). After Dr. Nichols leaves this position on June 30, UNC SOM’s current Assistant Dean for Admissions and Dr. Nichols’ departmental faculty colleague Anthony Passannante, MD, will assume the responsibilities of the role, in an interim capacity, starting July 1.
