\u2022 Evidence-based, best practice recommendations will be used throughout the surgery to ensure individualized blood pressure management, prevention of blood clots, careful IV fluid administration, and medication administration.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Postoperative Pain Management<\/span>
\u2022 Pain will be approached using a multi-modal approach including oral medication. <\/span><\/div>\n
Tubes and Catheters
\u2022 The orogastric tube will be removed at the end of surgery.<\/div>\n
Patient Activity
\u2022 You should be out of bed and walking by postoperative day 1 (earlier if your surgery was the first surgery of the day).
\u2022 Daily ambulation goals will be set by the medical team and their completion encouraged by nursing staff.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
