After graduating UNC in 2005 with a BSN, Aaron&#8217;s internship and first nursing position (CVT-ICU) were at UNC Hospitals. In 2010, Aaron graduated as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia.\u00a0 Aaron&#8217;s decade+ of nursing practice at UNC has led to leadership involvement in the Department&#8217;s ERAS Executive Council, COVID-19 taskforce, and Value Stream Analysis Committee.\u00a0 He has presented his work in numerous forums and is also an active leader within the North Carolina Association of Nurse Anesthetists (NCANA).<\/p>\n<p>UNC Department of Anesthesiology Chair <strong>David Zvara, MD, FASA<\/strong>, noted: &#8220;Aaron is a true Tar Heel. He has been a consummate team player every step of the way and I know he will be a fabulous Chief.
