A representative from the manufacturer of the new syringe pumps was visiting for a few days. Unfortunately, everyone from the clinical team was post-call or assigned elsewhere for a few days. Very graciously, Ms. Herbin became the host. The guest said they rarely if ever get such nice treatment when she travels to other medical centers.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><u>Tech<\/u>: \u00a0<b>Yue Chen <\/b>(nominated by Monika Nanda): \u201cI asked Yue if we should stock a specific kind of ultrasound probe cover for blocks and we should try using them at the ACC in the future\u00a0 Yue came early this morning just to pick up the probe covers from the main and drop them off at the ACC.\u00a0 His shift did not start for another 3 hours.\u00a0 He wanted to make sure that we had them for all the blocks that we did today! Yue, thank you so much for your commitment to the team and patient care.\u00a0 We are so lucky to have you here!&#8221;<\/div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\n<p><u>CRNA<\/u>: <b>Bradley Farrell<\/b> (nominated by Monika Nanda): &#8220;Brad has such a positive and helpful attitude. I saw Brad place IVs for so many patients on GI Main that were not even in his room. He is ever ready to help out his colleagues and keep things moving. Thank you Brad for your selfless acts today to keep things moving here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Nurse<\/span>: &#8220;<b>Meredith Woodson<\/b> (nominated by Jeremy Armbruster): &#8220;Meredith went above and beyond to find research on the benefits of ultrasound probe covers and has been pushing for their use in all ultrasound-guided procedures to help minimize infection risk&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><u><br \/>\nResident<\/u>: <b>Dr. Kevin Welch<\/b> (nominated by Christina Okolo): &#8220;Dr. Welch went above and beyond to help our new intern class orient to UNC. On the first day of orientation he met us in the parking garage to walk us over to Bondurant, and he made sure to take us back too! He has been extremely kind to make sure that the 13 of us do not get lost in a new hospital. I am not sure how we would have made it through orientation week without him!&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><u>Faculty<\/u>: <b>Adam Suchar <\/b>(nominated by Lavinia Kolarczyk): &#8220;Adam graciously offers his pediatric expertise to his adult colleagues when we are faced with challenging clinical situations. He does so with kindness and without judgment. He exemplifies teamwork in every sense of the word. Thank you, Adam, for your assistance with a difficult Down&#8217;s Syndrome patient with congenital heart disease. You are a <span class=\"markf9x47zm48\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">star<\/span>!
