Her multi-disciplinary expertise derives from completing back-to-back fellowships at Duke University Medical Center in Critical Care Medicine (2020) and Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology (2021). As a physician scientist and expert in post-anesthesia critical care recovery, Dr. Guichard&#8217;s primary area of interest is in understanding the issues that patients may encounter as they recover from an intensive care unit (ICU) course. Her ongoing study of post-intensive care syndrome focuses on the components, etiology, and mechanisms of this condition that can arise after a patient&#8217;s recovery from critical illness and last
