In March 2025, Ms. Shomo and five other Leadership Academy graduates celebrated the culmination of a transformative leadership development journey that equipped participants from UNC School of Medicine and UNC Adams School of Dentistry with the skills and insights necessary to enhance their roles and impact on graduate medical education within their respective departments at UNC. <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-17936 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/anesthesiology\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/470\/2023\/08\/ShomoHayleeWebsite.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"189\" height=\"214\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Leadership Academy included interactive sessions, mentorship, and real-world application aimed at fostering leadership engagement, collaboration,
