In October 2025, Monica was named the first <strong>Anesthesia Legacy of Care Award<\/strong> recipient after UNC Health Peri-Operative Services leadership created the honor to recognize exceptional anesthesia professionals whose compassion and excellence in healthcare delivery leaves a lasting, meaningful impression on the patients they care for across the system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"elementtoproof\" style=\"margin-bottom: 8.0pt;background: white\"><span style=\"color: #242424\">UNC Hospitals Hillsborough campus Director of Perioperative Services <\/span><b><span style=\"color: #242424\">Liz Myers, MHA, RN, CNOR<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #242424\">, noted: &#8220;Among the talented group of CRNAs at both UNC Hospitals Hillsborough campus and UNC Medical Center, some deliver such impactful clinical care that patients return to their post-op appointments, even years later, still touched by the compassion and excellence they experienced during their anesthetic care.\u00a0 <\/span>It was a true pleasure to present the inaugural Anesthesia Legacy of Care Award to <strong>CRNA Monica Belgado<\/strong>.
